Jan's surgery is scheduled for July 15th at the U of W in Seattle.

"It'll be a BIG one-- 10-12 hours, beginning around 6:00 A.M. I'll be in the hospital for 4-5 days with the first two in ICU so they can watch me closely.

I've wanted to get this on the calendar for so long and now that I have a date, reality has really set in. Yikes! It's scary.
We booked a trip to California for July 9-15th prior to my diagnosis. We'll be able to go, with an earlier return on the 13th. It'll be a great distraction!!
Most likely, I'll stay in Seattle the night before my surgery.
My sister, Nancy will join me and take me to the medical center in the morning. She'll be my contact person post surgery and email all of you with updates.
